English 1302: Essay 1 Read the following short stories by John Updike “A&P”, Kate Chopin “The Storm” , Kate Chopin “The Story of an Hour” and “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner. You must choose one story. Then, you must analyze the internal and external conflict and show me how these two literary terms function within the story.
