The Final Project has been broken down into 3 parts. Each part builds to the completed Final Project.

  • Final Project Part 3: PowerPoint Presentation

You will create a PowerPoint presentation for college students, taking everything that you have learned from Parts 1 -2 to teach students 5 essential strategies you determine to be most important. Additionally, you must type a script to align with the PowerPoint for a 30-minute presentation to college students, incorporating sources previously used in Parts 1–2 of the Final Project and adding at least 2 additional sources.

Final Project: Part 3 is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 7.

  • Final Project Part 2: Clergy and Counselor Interview

Clergy and Counselor Interview:

You will interview 1 member of the clergy and 1 academic counselor who both interact with college students. In each interview, you will ask 5 questions to gain a better understanding of the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of college students. Unlike Part 1, you will develop these 5 questions for each interview so that you have asked a total of 10 questions for this assignment. Include the questions and summary of the responses after each interview. Your interview should be 3-5 pages.

  • Final Project Part 1: Professor Interview

You will conduct an interview with a current college professor (other than the instructor for this course). You must integrate your findings in Part 3 of the Final Project.

Final Project: Part 1 is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 4.

Household Metabolism CMP3200-Science Essays Assignment Help

CM P3200                                            Household Metabolism CMP3200-Science Essays Assignment Help-Assignment 3: Household Metabolism

  1. Start by identifying your “household” and the way you’ll measure metabolism. This will vary a lot depending on where and how you live. For example, much of the data you might use comes from monthly utility bills. If you are a renter, your utilities may be folded into your rent so you won’t have access to those. If you decide to look at food or other materials, this will be more complicated the more people live in your household, as this will require some cooperation from your fellow household members and tracking things like grocery shopping. Create a box-and-arrow diagram showing your household “system”, what you’re going to measure, and its pathways through your system. For example, here’s one I put together for my household. I chose to do water because I have access to our monthly water bills going back several years and, living in Utah, I’m very interested in water’s role in urban ecological systems.
  2. Once you know what you’re measuring, you need to come up with a data collection sheet. Mine, again, is simple. I created a spreadsheet into which I can enter the amount of water used each month (from my water bill) and the amount of precipitation for that month from NOAA weather archives at https://www.climate.gov/maps-data/dataset/daily-temperature-and-precipitation-reports-data-tables (I will need to do a little math to convert the total precipitation depth for each month into a volume for my whole property.)
Month/year Total water use (gal) Precipitation depth (ft) Area of lot (sq ft) Precip volume (=depth*area)

Note that I don’t have any data on the outflow quantities, but I can probably separate indoor use from outdoor use by comparing summer months (when I water the yard) to winter months. However, I can probably keep track of some of the indoor uses (which pretty much all go to the sewer outflow) by tracking how many showers we take, how often we run the washer and dishwasher, etc. That would be a separate data sheet that might look like this

Water use Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
dishwasher (est 20 gal) 1 0 1 0
# showers (est 30 gal) 3 1 2 4
washing machine (est 10 gal) 3 0 0 0
# toilet flushes (.6 gal) 10 6 8 5
water houseplants (2 gal) 1 0 0 0

I’m wildly guessing here how much water these use, but you can look this stuff up online.

If you decide to look at food, or some other material, you will want to track quantity in (most food comes with a weight printed on the label) and quantity out (in trash, you don’t have to weigh it though, or compostables).

  1. Collect your data. If you are using household bills, cover as many months, up to a year, as is convenient. If you’re tracking food, cover at least a few days, preferably a week. It will be easiest if you line it up with trash pickup day, so you can match your input measurement days with a week of trash output.
  2. As best you can, given the data you’ve been able to collect, put some numbers on your diagram. You should at least be able to give numbers to the main input arrows and have some idea of what’s going on inside the system. For example, you may be able to say that half the water used in the house is going to bathing, or that a third of the food is being consumed by your greedy younger brother and that 10% is wasted (gets thrown out). Create another diagram with all the data you’re able to pull together, and write a short report (200-500 words) on what you found out about your household metabolism. This may include any other graphs you might want to create to summarize your findings.

Over the next few classes, we’ll be studying the flows and cycles of materials and energy through systems, essentially system metabolism. The metabolism concept originates at the cellular level within living things – it is the burning of energy in the form of sugars to do the cell’s work of maintaining and growing the body. We often expand it to the level of a whole organism, saying “I have a slow metabolism”, for example. In urban ecology, there is an area of study that looks at the metabolism of entire cities. For this assignment, we’ll look at some aspects of metabolism at the level of the household.

In the diagram below, you’ll note that this is essentially a version of our box-and-arrow diagrams from class. The central box is the house, with input and output arrows. The units of measure for metabolic studies tend to be energy, materials, or water. The critical importance of metabolic studies is that they provide an accounting of fundamental processes that are largely invisible and unnoticed otherwise, and they allow us to tailor our behaviors and technologies toward more sustainable metabolic models. For this assignment, you will do some very simple metabolic accounting for your own household.

College Essays-Making Strategic Decisions on Publicly Traded Companies

College Essays-Making Strategic Decisions on Publicly Traded Companies
Tasks:

Use the publicly-traded company you chose in Module 1 and imagine it has made a strategic decision to start doing business in China. Using the discussion, Currency Exchange Rates: A Case in China with Country Risk, (Chapter 7, Global Finance, page 192 of your textbook) as a model for the report you will write, prepare a report in which you: Publicly-traded company is COCA-COLA company!!!!!

  1. Develop a brief country risk assessment.
  2. Determine the political, economic, social, and capital risks associated with doing business in China. What are the most important factors to consider? Why?
  3. After years of keeping the Yuan pegged to the US dollar, in 2015 the Chinese  allowed it to float freely in international currency exchange rate markets. You may read more about the Yuan reforms here. Many economists believe that keeping the Yuan pegged to the US dollar has caused it to be undervalued by 30 to 50 percent. Discuss what impact a revaluation of the Yuan might have on US multinationals doing business there, on China’s exports, and on Chinese citizens’ standard of living. What impact would a revaluation have on Chinese inflation and on purchasing power parity? Explain.Your paper should be about 2,000 words.

Risk Management Applications

While there are many factors that lead to an organization’s success or failure, it is important to identify the risk associated with the endeavor—financial or nonfinancial. Once the risks have been identified, management has a responsibility to develop measures to mitigate those risks.

Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory Economics 317: Section B

Scenario:This exam is based on the following description of 317land.  317land is a monetary economy in which  the  typical  household  has  production  opportunities  summarized  by  the  production function yt  = f(lt).  In addition, households have access to a competitive commodity or goods market and to a perfect credit or bond market.  The bonds in 317land are one period bonds that pay real interest at rate R.   Assume that the typical household in 317land has an infinite planning horizon and seeks to maximize horizon long utility given by U = u(c1, l1) + 1/(1+r) u(c2, l2) +  1/(1+r)2 u(c3, l3) +. . . . , where c and l represent consumption and work effort and r is the subjective rate of time preference.  Finally, assume that households in 317land behave in accordance with the permanent income hypothesis.

  1. The president of 317land believes that it is important to stimulate current economic activity in 317land and is considering a stimulus package that includes tax cuts. His advisors have provided him with two alternative policies.  Under policy A, the representative household will receive a permanent tax cut that will reduce their tax liability in the current period and in every subsequent period by $100.  Under policy B, the representative household will receive a one-time tax rebate of $1000.00 dollars.    Under that assumption that the government’s primary goal is to encourage current consumption and that the real interest rate is 3 percent, evaluate which of these policies is most consistent with the government’s objective by doing the following.

(a)  Thoroughly derive the marginal propensity to consume that is applicable for policy A and use it to predict the effect of policy A on per capita consumption.  (state your final result as a dollar figure. (15 points)

(b)   Thoroughly derive the marginal propensity to consume that is applicable for policy B and use it to predict the effect of policy B on per capita consumption.  (state your final result as a dollar figure).  Identify the policy you would recommend and explain why. (15 points)

(c)    Will these policies affect work effort?  Explain briefly. (10 points)

  1. Prove that the (c1, c2) combination that is consistent with maximization of the representative optimizing household’s lifetime utility is the (c1, c2) combination at which the marginal benefit is equal to marginal costs by doing the following.

(a)    Use whatever combination of written and graphical exposition you deem necessary to demonstrate that the representative optimizing household in 317land will pick the (c1, c2) combination for which the marginal rate of substitution of consumption in period 2 for consumption in period one is equal to the intertemporal relative price of period one consumption. (15 points)

(b)        Thoroughly demonstrate/explain the exact sense in which the behavior you described in your answer to question 2(a) is consistent with the fundamental principle that the optimal level of a good service or activity is the level at which marginal benefit is equal to marginal costs. (15 points)

  1. In class we noted that in order to maximize horizon-long utility households in an economy like 317land will have to allocate resources optimally along three dimensions. These are: intratemporal allocation (i.e. the choice of (c, l) in any period t, intertemporal allocation of consumption, and intertemporal allocation of work effort.  Fundamental economic principles instruct that optimizing households’ allocation of resources along these dimensions will be guided by the fundamental principle that the optimal level of a good service or activity is the level at which marginal benefit is equal to marginal costs.

(a)    Write an essay that thoroughly proves that the representative optimizing household’s intertemporal allocation of work effort will be consistent with this principle. (20 points)

(b)    Thoroughly evaluate the accuracy of the following statement.

“Holding all else constant, a reduction in the intertemporal relative price of current consumption will induce optimizing households to intertemporally reallocate work effort from the future (or future periods) to the current period.” (10 points)

(c)     Suppose 317land is hit by a natural disaster.  Use whatever combination of written and graphical exposition you deem appropriate to explain how this change in the economic environment is likely to affect the representative household’s intertemporal allocation of work effort. (10 points)

Custom Essays on Art Analysis and Modern Art-How would you define modern art in Thailand and Burma?

Custom Essays on Art Analysis and Modern Art-How would you define modern art in Thailand and Burma?

TOPIC: The question that continues to come up is how is this art related to art within certain locations and communities and to art in most art museums that we would consider international? How do artists who work in styles or contexts that can be related to international artists (should we call them Western artists) able to present at the same time their art as reflecting their own linguistic, ethnic, national identities? As far as most people within a certain culture is itmodern traditional art that resonates with them, and can best define a national art that is completely cut off from international art?

We have seen modern and contemporary art in Thailand and Burma.

*There is modern traditional art. The examples we studied were at Wat Thai in Los Angeles and the Nat Shrines in Burma and the Schwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon. *There is modern art by various Southeast Asian artists for sale in an action catalogue. *There is the art of the Thai artist Kamol Tassananchalee who works in Los Angeles and Thailand.

Choose one(or more)of these conundrums and explain it。You need to be specific in your discussion。You are not expected to have definitive answers to these problems You are to present them with examples。You can use quotes from the readings that I uploaded。You are explaining the problem and suggesting some possible explanations
