Instructions: In at least a three to four-student team (some teams may vary in the number of student partners due to class size), please prepare 20 slides on the topics that follow:
*Imagine that you and your coworkers/colleagues are delivering this presentation at the Annual Conference of Healthcare Executives in Orlando, Florida.
Please prepare a 20 slide Power Point presentation with presenter’s notes in which you focus on a single dimension of performance of the U.S. health care delivery system. Please examine how performance on this dimension is influenced by the organization and financing of health care in the U.S. and behavior of key health system stakeholders, what must be improved or reformed to achieve performance gains in your selected area, and the implications of your analysis for health policy and management. You may focus on performance in a broadly-defined area (such as quality of care, cost or access to care, balancing internal/external costs, dealing with regulatory agencies,) or you may define your focus more narrowly within one of these categories (e.g., quality of care for chronically-ill elderly patients, cost-effectiveness of new medical technologies, access to specialized care for low-income populations). In your analysis, please consider all stakeholders relevant to your specified focus—providers, payers and purchasers, patients, communities, policy-makers, and other groups that play a role in performance in your focal area—and be sure to examine performance and implications for reform at both the policy and delivery system levels.
The presentation must be 20 slides in length. Please include references to course readings as well as any relevant outside sources that support your analysis. Citations and a references page (not included in slide length) are required.
Your presentation is due week 6, no later than DATE and must be submitted using Blackboard. Each team member must submit your team’s collective presentation individually—although your team will receive the same score based on the quality and creativity of the collective demonstration. Remember to work as a team—and communicate with each other throughout the term. I will place you into teams during week two—and I strongly urge you to begin working on this project right away—meaning, don’t wait until the last minute to begin.
**Be sure to include “presenter’s notes” at the base of each slide. Further, work together so that every one on your team “keeps the balance” (remember assignment one/week one)—so, you may want to appoint a “team leader” early in the process. Every duty is important, so it’s up to you to phone/text each other, e-mail each other, share research, slide templates, anything/everything needed to make this demonstration a cohesive, collective endeavor—and because this project carries significant point value in this course, it must be your absolute best work. Remember that your presentation shouldn’t look like a writing assignment—it’s Power point—a visual program, so use its features, but keep it professional at the same time. Further, use charts, graphs, tables to convey your information/data as well. Again, I must be able to read your speakers notes at the bottom of each slide; however, slides should not be too wordy—and if they are, they are virtually unreadable if sitting in an audience. Use bullet points and imagery to convey your info in conjunction with the speakers notes that explain (to me) what you are presenting. Have fun with this one, too!

To begin, work through the reference list that was created in the “Section B: Problem Description” assignment in Topic 2. Appraise each resource using the “Rapid Critical Appraisal Checklists,” available in the textbook appendix. The specific checklist you use will be determined by the type of evidence within the resource.
Develop a research table to organize and summarize the research studies. Using a summary table allows you to be more concise in your narrative description. Only research studies used to support your intervention are summarized in this table. Refer to the “Evaluation Table Template,” available in the textbook appendix. Use the “Evaluation Table Template” as an adaptable template.
Write a narrative of 750-1,000 words (not including the title page and references) that presents the research support for the projects problem and proposed solution. Make sure to do the following:
1 Include a description of the search method (e.g., databases, keywords, criteria for inclusion and exclusion, and number of studies that fit your criteria).
2 Summarize all of the research studies used as evidence. The essential components of each study need to be described so that readers can evaluate its scientific merit, including study strengths and limitations.
3 Incorporate a description of the validity of the internal and external research.
It is essential to make sure that the research support for the proposed solution is sufficient, compelling, relevant, and from peer-reviewed professional journal articles.
Although you will not be submitting the checklist information or the evaluation table you design in Topic 3 with the narrative, the checklist information and evaluation table should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.

For this assignment, each of you will compose several “parts” to satisfy the portfolio requirement. Portfolios will consist of the following:
• A revised paper: – you must have completed this paper and received a grade on it in order to revise it. Papers that were given 0s or not turned in on time are not eligible.
• A short 3 paragraph assessment of what you revised, why, and an explanation of your approach.
• A letter to the self that began this course. What would you say to yourself after having finished 110?
Each separate portion must follow the following guidelines.
The Revised Paper: Must revise in a substantial way. This goes beyond just fixing a few commas or semicolons. You must rethink organization, information, your argument, what you have decided to include.
Assessment: Must be at least 3 well developed paragraphs that specifically focuses on your revisions. What did you decide to do and why? Why do you think this better benefits the assignment parameters and your point?

RESEARCH QUESTION(S):
1)How are the patterns in average stock returns in relation to the other factors in the Brazilain stock market(BOVESPA) similar to those documented in the US market?
2) Do Fama and French five factor model explain patterns in cross section average returns quoted in the Brazil stock market( BM&F BOVESPA) compared to the three-factor model? (more research questions can be included.) ( Please help restructure the research questions to be professional and acceptable)
Sample: I intend to make use secondary data on companies in the Brazilian stock market (BOVESPA). The data intend to make use of in this research is market capitalization to measure for size, Total value of asset for investment, book value of equity for value(B/M), Earning before interest and tax or EBITDA for operating profit, Stock prices or index and finally the Brazil government r risk free rate. My sample period is from the year 1998-2014(monthly data) which will depend on data availability, for a group of firms listed on the Brazil stock market.( discretion can be used in this part due to data availability).
Also, extract data for monthly T-bills to account for the risk-free rate. Also get data to account for returns( either monthly stock prices or adjusted stock prices). Some of the data required have been provided.
Follow the empirical process adopted in the Fama-French five-factor model paper extensively.
