slo paper for sociology class

For the SLO paper, are we to choose a topic in which we analyze how social class affects a SPECIFIC area or element of society? Or it the paper aimed at analyzing social class and its affects on society in general?” This is an excellent question, so I thought I would respond to the entire class. I think you should know that what I’m primarily interested in is that you really understand the consequences of social stratification, or social class. And, by the way, make sure that you know the difference between the two concepts. And indeed, I suggest that you thoroughly review in the modules, the very pertinent discussion titled, “Consequences of Social Class,” which is thoroughly discussed in the text. So, in response to Jaii’s question, it doesn’t matter, as long as your topic is not vague. By the way of suggestions, you might decide how your social class has affected your life’s outcome. And, don’t forget the impact that social class has on some of the other categories discussed in the text. The reason I selected this sociology topic is because understanding how we’re shaped by society’s structures is closely related to the sociological imagination – the all-important concept developed by C. Wright Mills. addition to having a title page, it must be three to eight complete pages, 12-font, double-spaced, and with one inch margins. It must also be proofread and spellchecked for any errors.

Argumentative Outline

Use the internet and source at least 10 applicable and informative references most of which have been published within the last 5 years (DO NOT use Wikipedia). 5 of these must be articles from peer reviewed journals. – try Web of Science as a start – and don’t just rely on Google Scholar. You can also source relevant case studies. Write a no more than 1500 word (not including reference list) argumentative outline on your topic using your references for information. The article must summarise and describe your topic for a general audience (e.g. like an article in New Scientist) and use of case examples will lift this. Make sure you think about the structure and flow (I will mark this as well as scientific content) – the article will need:  an engaging title,  a good introduction with a succinct description of the background to the topic (e.g. pollutants, hazards, problems etc),  informative body of text to discuss the issue with good illustration using relevant case studies,  and a where to from here conclusion.

political science essay

Government Topic Paper – “Is it wrong to lock up young killers… FOREVER??” Civil Liberties are laws that restrain the powers of our government to prevent abuse and oppression of citizens. This Government Topic Paper will deal with Civil Liberties, in particular, juveniles convicted of murder. On January 25, 2016, the U.S. Supreme Court rendered a 6-3 ruling on a case that dealt with a previous 2012 Supreme Court ruling regarding mandatory life-without-parole sentences for juvenile killers. In 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court banned mandatory life-without-parole sentences for juvenile killers. In 2016, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that their 2012 decision must be applied retroactively – meaning all such mandatory life-without-parole sentences given to juveniles before 2012 must be reconsidered. The case is Montgomery v. Louisiana. In TWO pages maximum, please discuss (1) what this case (Montgomery v. Lousiana) was about (the issues the U.S. Supreme Court was asked to consider), (2) who supports the ban on mandatory life-without-parole sentences on juveniles and why, (3) who opposes the ban on mandatory life-without-parole sentences (in other words, wants to be able to sentence juveniles to mandatory life-without-parole) and why, (4) where do you stand regarding this issue/Court case and why? NOTE: For supporters and critics, DO NOT consider the Supreme Court Justices. Find supporters and critics who are NOT Supreme Court Justices – e.g. state officials, civil libertarians, senators, congressmen/women, attorneys general, law enforcement leaders, etc. TWO pages maximum, which means each section should only be about ½-page. There are no right or wrong positions, only well defended or poorly defended positions. You may agree with the 6-majority, or agree with the 3-minority, it doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is a well researched and argued paper from you. ONLY YOUR NAME AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. Anything other than your name will consume precious space that you will need to adequately address each section, and if you include anything beyond your name at the top, your assignment will be assessed a -5 point penalty. CITATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Citations must be proper and complete. If you do not know how to properly cite sources, please review your English 1A notes, or seek help at the Language Success Center (BEB-101). NO CITATIONS = 0-points for the assignment, JUST A LIST OF SOURCES AT THE END WITH NO CITATIONS IN ANY OF THE FIRST THREE SECTIONS = 0-points for the assignment. I apologize for the ALL CAPS, but I can’t emphasize enough that proper citations are absolutely required for any research work, even if it’s only two pages long. Your work must be word processed in a format that my Chaffey equipment can open, such as MS Word (.doc/.docx), rtf (Rich Text Format), odt (Open Document Text), etc. My Chaffey equipment cannot open certain formats, such as MS Works (.wps) files. If I cannot open your file, then I can’t read it, and thus I won’t be able to give you any points for it. So, please submit it in MS Word, rtf, or odt.

philosophy extra credit- philosophy

Existentialism in Film Since so many of you mentioned Kierkegaard in some of the forums, and he is often considered the father of existentialism, I thought it would be a good idea to have you read just a bit more about existentialism from IP (some sections I believe I did not assign from the ch. 4 on “Self”) and have you watch one of a few different films that are commonly pointed to as examples of existentialism in film. After reading and watching, if you write a thoughtful 1.5-2 page (double spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman, 1 inch margins) reflection on how you see some of the emphases and ideas of existentialism popping up in the film, I’ll give you 10 points Extra Credit. Due Thurs. July 27th by 11:55pm. Couple ground rules. If you have a perfect score in the class, or only a few points off a perfect score, obviously, you by definition cannot receive the credit (or all the credit). If you do this project, it won’t be one of those credit for just doing it kinds of things, and I’m pretty good at catching a “I just read some cliff notes and summary websites on the topic” kind of paper.  This is a great way to make up some missed forums of missed assignments, so give it a shot. Plus, these movies are sweet, and existentialism works very well in film. Pages to read in IP: 303-310 Here are the options to watch: No Country for Old Men (2007) The Thin Red Line (1998) Fight Club (1999) Broken Flowers (2005) The Straight Story (1999)
