The Training Program (Fabrics, Inc.)

The Training Program (Fabrics, Inc.)

Presented at the end of chapters 4, 5, 8 and 9 of the Blanchard and Thacker (2013) text, are examples of what would be done in a real situation regarding a small business that requested training (these sections can be found in the electronic text by going to the “Summary” section for each chapter and scrolling down). Review the Fabrics Inc. examples at the end of these chapters. These sections are labeled, “The Training Program (Fabrics, Inc.)”. Blanchard and Thacker (2013) have demonstrated the phases of the Training Process Model, from the needs analysis to evaluation. Notice how the phases build on one another.
Chapter 4 presents the needs analysis, the beginning of a step-by-step process for developing a training program, for this small fabrications company. Chapter 5 continues with a description of the Fabrics, Inc., training program identifying the training design. Chapter 8 provides examples of some of the training outputs, starting with the instructor’s manual and elaborates on the development and implementation steps. Finally, Chapter 9 examines the evaluation phase of the Fabrics, Inc. training.
The paper should use APA formatted headings to identify each of the following required sections:

  • Abstract
  • Background of Fabrics, Inc.
  • Needs Analysis
  • Training Design
  • Development and Implementation
  • Evaluation of Training
  • Conclusion
  • References

The paper should be 2,000 to 2,500 words in length (excluding the title, abstract, and reference page) and respond to the following prompts for each phase of the training process model:
Needs Analysis (Chapter 4)
Critique the organizational analysis conducted for Fabrics, Inc. and determine if there are other questions that should have been asked. Review the operational analysis done through the interview. Note that it was not completed. Generate some of the other questions that should be asked.
Training Design (Chapter 5)
In the design phase of Fabrics, Inc. Blanchard and Thacker (2013) only developed objectives for conflict resolution. Choose one of the other training requirements and develop three to four learning objectives. Critique the design component and identify areas that were not addressed satisfactorily.
Development and Implementation (Chapter 8)
Note that there is no discussion of Fabrics, Inc. in the development or implementation aspects of the training. List and describe additional training modules that could be developed based on the training objectives that were developed in the design phase of Fabrics, Inc.
Evaluation of Training (Chapter 9)
Evaluate the two evaluation instruments used in the Fabrics, Inc. case. Discuss how the evaluation results should be used. Be sure to address internal and external validity of the measurements.

Globalization

Directions:
Think about what you have read and seen in the news on globalization. Consider the fact that the clothing we wear, the cars that we drive, the cell phones we use to communicate and the computers we use to work, are each likely to have been manufactured in whole or in part in different parts of the world. While there are still companies and firms that maintain local and national borders, it is almost unheard of in the 21st century that an industry does not maintain an international strategic position.
From an executive’s position, identify and explain at least three challenges and opportunities that might face an international executive over the next five years. Provide possible solutions of how the executive might address these issues in order for their firm to maintain a competitive advantage.
Prepare a 4-6 page paper that describes the impact of globalization on U.S. businesses. In your analysis, please include information about the impact of at least four economic drivers that might impact globalization.

Health Care Leadership–Revising Organizational Culture

500 words & references need completed by the end of the day 01/30 please.
Recently it was announced that two major hospital systems would be merging their services in to one entity. Both are comprised of multiple hospital units and specialty clinics. While on the surface, this has been touted as an economical move with substantial savings to both parties and the potential to solidify their market share, there are as yet many barriers to overcome.
For instance, one system has its roots as a Catholic entity, while the other began with its origins as a Jewish facility.
The medical staff is divided on whether the merger is good for patients and their practices. Both groups of employees are understandably unsettled as it is uncertain who of the senior administrative staff will remain. The organizational culture of both institutions is also of major concern.
Given these circumstances, what form or model(s) of leadership would you bring to bear? Describe in detail the steps you would take to redirect the mission and vision of this new emerging entity.

2)   Explain some functions/processes of your ecosystem including one nutrient cycle and one food chain.
3)  Give two examples of species interactions (predation, competition, mutualism, etc.) that occur in your ecosystem.
4)  Identify an invasive species in your ecosystem. Explain its effects on the ecosystem and efforts to control or eradicate it.
Include two outside references.
Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

EDUCATION RESEARCH

Holzweiss, P. C., Joyner, S. A., Fuller, M. B., Henderson, S., & Young, R. (2014). Online graduate students’ perceptions of best learning experiences. Distance Education35(3), 311-323.
In the Holzweiss, Joyner, Fuller, Henderson & Young study, the researchers sampled graduate students.  Please read the entire study with a focus on the sample and the sampling practices. Consider the study from two perspectives.
First, analyze the study itself as it was conducted. Consider the information in Chapter 5 regarding sampling and apply that information to an analysis of the sample in the Holzweiss study. This is a qualitative study, so be sure to consider the issues related to sampling in qualitative research as you analyze this sampling procedure.
Second, after you have discussed the sampling procedures, consider what sampling procedure you might use if you were to design this study as a quantitative study. What choices would you make regarding your population; what would be your target population? How would you select your sample? What size sample would you want to identify? How would you avoid sampling error and bias?
As a student of research, it is very important that you understand independent and dependent variables.
Consider the following research question:  Are there differences between rural and urban children’s attitudes regarding diversity?
If you were to be analyzing this question for a research study, you would need to consider the following:
The dependent variable is attitudes regarding diversity.
The independent variable is type of children and it has two levels, rural and urban.
In this example several variables need to be operationalized.  Let’s start with the dependent variable.  Attitudes regarding diversity could be racial or ethnic diversity, it could be diversity related to being from elsewhere, or living differently.  To develop this topic diversity would have to be operationally defined.
In this example we also need to operationalize rural and urban. This might be done with population statistics.
Children would also need to be operationalized.  A small child’s attitude regarding diversity versus a middle-school child’s, or a teenager’s might be very different constructs.
Please carefully read Chapter 6 so that you understand independent and dependent variables.
Then please
· write a research question such as the one above;
· identify your independent and dependent variables related to that research question;
· provide operational definitions of your variables
EACH QUESTION SHOULD BE AT LEAST 300 WORDS

Counseling Theory- Person Centered Therapy

I need this back on Feb 1st by 6pm

As you may have gathered through your required readings and the video for this module, the psychodynamic tradition has a rich history and has evolved over time to adapt to trends toward briefer forms of treatment. Concepts from the theory, such as defense mechanisms, transference, and counter-transference, are also used by most non-psychoanalytic counselors to supplement their work with clients.

 Child abuse and maltreatment

Child abuse and maltreatment is not limited to a particular age and can occur in the infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age years. Choose one of the four age groups (infant, toddler, preschool, or school age) and discuss the types of abuse that are most often seen in this age. Discuss warning signs and physical and emotional assessment findings the nurse may see that could indicate child abuse. Discuss cultural variations of health practices that can be misidentified as child abuse. Describe the reporting mechanism in your state and nurse responsibilities related to the reporting of suspected child abuse.
