Artifact Speech

Congratulations! You have won an all expense paid 2-week trip to the Bahamas!  Basic clothing, toiletries, phone, laptop, camera and critical health related products have already been packed for you.  What are three to five other items, or artifacts, you want to bring with you?  Why did you choose those items?  Your speech should be 3-5 minutes in length.
Construct this speech taking into consideration your classmates’ answers to the psychographic audience analysis questions in Module 3 and the information shared in their introduction speeches.  For instance, if you learned that many other students are from out of state or overseas, you’ll want to avoid assuming that everyone knows what Michigan winters are like, instead you would give a brief statement describing Michigan winters.  That way, everyone will understand what you’re talking about, not just the Michiganders.
Incorporate the concepts examined thus far in the course: building confidence, ethics, developing purpose and topic, adapting to your audience.

After reflecting on chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis, write a 750-1,000-word paper covering the following topics, paying particular emphasis on item three:
Briefly explain the Genesis account of creation (first two chapters). The point is not to retell all aspects of the story in detail but just to make the message of the Bible clear.
Explain and support your interpretation of the origin of the universe. Here you may want to address evolution, age of the earth, and whether or not it can be reconciled with the message of the Bible.
Express how your understanding of the origin of the universe impacts your worldview, specifically your view of God, of humanity, and responsibility to care for the earth.
Use two to four resources, in addition to the Bible.
