WCM 510 Final Project-creation of an analysis and negotiation coaching recommendations for executive leadership
The final project for this course is the creation of an analysis and negotiation coaching recommendations for executive leadership(in either paper or presentation format), which the chief human resources officer (CHRO)can read to prepare for the negotiation. The final product represents an authentic demonstration of competency because it is a task that you may be asked to complete in the workplace.
For your final project you will place yourself in the role of an HR professional at Netflix, asked to prepare the chief human resources officer (CHRO), Sharon Slade, for a possible severance negotiation involving a departing executive, Alice Jones. Your task is to create analysis and negotiation coaching recommendations for executive leadership (in either paper or presentation format), which the CHRO can read to prepare for the negotiation. You will review three resources listed below that provide background information about the Netflix organizational culture, performance expectations, and its unique approach to defined policies and procedures
Please read the WCM 510 Final Project Guidelines and Rubric for further information on the project. Attached below

Discuss the fragile balance between the need for public health agencies to acquire data and the demand for security of sensitive information. Review the article Ethics in Public Health Research.
As public health director in a small county, you must maintain records that track diabetes rates, the incidence of HIV, and immunization records. Recently, there have been at least two breaches when computers were stolen from employees or an outside hacker broke into the system and downloaded data.
Now you must write an open letter addressing the community and explain how the department is going to protect the information. In your letter, address the following questions.
Explain why the health department collects this information conveying the idea of how it serves the greater good.
Discuss the public’s interest in privacy and why this is important in our society.
Discuss why the department needs to infringe on the community’s privacy.
Explain how the department might ensure greater security.
Be sure to identify at least one applicable regulation, statute, or source that supports the ability of the department to collect this information.

essay on describing two characters from Achebe' Things Falls Apart (book) and The Mission (movie)
UCRO 2000
Winter 2018
Essay Guideline
5-7 pages, double-spaced.
Due on 2/2
To bring together your learning both in and out of class, and to demonstrate how understanding of the past can help deal with the future in a spirit of compassionate hope, you will write a reflective paper. It should be a carefully-constructed, well-thought-out essay comparing one character from Achebe’s Things Fall Apart with one character from “The Mission.” The setting of this analysis is, of course, the 500-year story of “The West and the World.” The focus of this analysis is to reflect on the question: “How can someone in a situation of powerlessness find hope for the future?” But this is no glib opinion piece: the paper should
· indicate your close familiarity with the two works by summarizing each character’s role in the story
· reflect and comment on (1) how the character had to confront powerful outside influences, and (2) how (if at all) the character found grounds for hope
· place these fictionalized characters into the concrete, real-world context of both (1) particular events from their own time and place and (2) broad, long-term historical trends
· include a paragraph or two evaluating whether such fictionalized accounts (novels, plays, films, legends, etc) can provide true historical insight—and if so, how
· conclude, in light of your analysis, with a personal statement—either from an explicitly Christian or honestly non-Christian perspective—on the sources of hope in a world of power
Grading Criteria

Hypothesis Testing 1
Use the Hypothesis Tester – Single Sample file and data analysis software to complete the calculations for this scenario.
Practical Application Scenario
In 2010, Playbill Magazine, a regionally based magazine, consulted Boos Allen to determine the mean annual household income of its readers. Using a list of customers provided by Playbill, Boos Allen randomly sampled 300 Playbill customers. From that sample, Boos Allen is confident that the average Playbill reader’s household income is $119,155, with a population sample household income standard deviation of $30,000.
Recently, two Playbill executives suggested that the mean average household income for Playbill readers has increased, and the magazine price should be raised. As new marketing manager for Playbill, you convince the chief operating officer to complete a second survey with Boos Allen to confirm that assertion. Yesterday, the new Boos Allen report appeared on your desk. From a new sample of Playbill customers, taken from a list of recent customers you e-mailed to Boos Allen, the 2012 Playbill customer profile shows a mean annual household income of $124,450, with a population standard deviation of household income unchanged at $30,000.
You realize that you have enough data to perform a one-sample hypothesis test. In order to choose the correct statistical tool to complete this assessment, consider the following questions:
What do you know about the population being studied? (For example, do you know the standard deviation of the overall population?)
What do you know about the population sample you chose? (For example, which sample statistical parameters do you have, such as mean, standard deviation, variance, and so on?)
Directions
Solve the following equations, based on the data from the Hypothesis Tester – Single Sample file. Demonstrate your method and display your results in table format, using Excel or another appropriate computer application.
Identify the null hypothesis, via both a written explanation and a math equation.
Determine the alternative hypothesis, via both a written explanation and a math equation.
Solve the equation to determine whether to accept or reject the null hypothesis.
Determine whether the p-value indicates acceptance or rejection of the null. Use alpha = .05.
Next, address the following in a report to the executives:
Write a three-sentence paragraph that details your recommendations for a course of action, based on your results.
Report the rejection or acceptance of the null, in terms of the scenario results.
Explain why you can be statistically confident that the mean household Playbill reader’s income has increased, decreased, or remained the same.
State whether you would propose that the cost of the magazine be raised.
Describe what would happen if alpha was .01.
Additional Requirements
Compile your work and report in a 1–2 page Microsoft Word file:
Paste in the tables you used to make your calculations.
Clearly title your tables, including each row and column.
Highlight the results of your data calculations within each table.
Data Analysis and Management 2
To complete this assessment, use data analysis software and the Campus Crime Data Excel file. The Excel file contains two data sheets:
The Campus Crime Data for Minnesota (2009–2011) page provides actual data generated by the U.S. Department of Education’s Campus Safety and Security Data Analysis Cutting Tool.
The Campus Crime Data Codebook explains the labels used in the Campus Crime Data sheet.
Practical Application Scenario
As a result of recent campus safety concerns at Capella University, you have been engaged by campus security team leaders to gather and analyze data about on-campus crime rates in schools in the state of Minnesota. Crime data from 181 Minnesota campuses has been compiled in the Campus Crime Data file.
Write a management report for campus security team leaders analyzing and evaluating campus crime data for Minnesota. Include your findings and recommendations for your clients. In your report, be sure to examine the following:
Identify what crimes were most commonly committed on Minnesota campuses between 2009 and 2011. Based on the data, would you say the crime rates decreased or increased from 2009 to 2011?
The campus security leaders believe that the total crime rate in public institutions is more than that in private institutions. They have asked you to test that hypothesis. Describe your results.
Your clients would also like you to develop a 95 percent confidence interval for the difference in total campus crime rates between public and private institutions in Minnesota. Report your results.
Analyze what ethical issues, if any, should concern you in conducting your research.
Additional Requirements
Compile your work and report in a 2–4 page Word document.
Include whatever relevant tables and graphics you need to support your findings. Place your tables and graphics within the text and be sure to clearly title them. Your tables and graphics must be legible and suitable for inclusion in a management report.

3737 unread replies.3737 replies.
Complete this thread once you have read the Fallacies content in The West Guide as assigned by the syllabus.
Then come here and choose one of the following to answer for 10 points.
><
1. Can you think of a fallacy you have seen in a TV commercial? If so, describe the ad, and say what you think the fallacy is. Name the fallacy is possible. You can even say, “I think it’s either ___ or ___” since some of the fallacies are very hard to tell from each other. We are practicing here, so I’m not going to sweat it.
OR, if you can find an ad online, and post a picture of it, you can do it that way too, and identify what you think the fallacy is.
2. Have you heard/seen an argument in social media, the press (newspapers, magazines, and blogs) that you think contains a fallacy? If so, describe the argument, its source [where you found it] and identify what you think the fallacy is.
*Important Disclaimer: this is a learning exercise. You can use something you may even agree with, if you think it contains a fallacy. We are not here to discuss the ideas or the arguments themselves, but to learn how to use logic.*
