Although the reading, case studies, and discussion forum cover the functional areas of the course, the research paper provides the learner with the opportunity to investigate/research an HRM area of personal interest. This project runs the entire length of the course. As with any research paper, the introduction that includes the thesis statement explaining the objective of the paper sets the tone and direction the paper will take. The body will include a synthesis of the results of the topic research. The conclusion/recommendation provides the conclusion of the paper. As discussed above under the Assignment Expectations and Academic Integrity, the use of correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and citations is expected. The length of the paper is between 6-15 pages, exclusive of cover page, appendix, and bibliography.
