Gary is a 39-year-old male who comes into your office complaining of a variety of life stressors. To begin with, he lists the following:

Gary has been married to his wife for twelve years. The marriage has had its ups and downs, but it is intact and relatively happy. Gary’s wife is a successful business owner with many irons in the fire and a healthy income (six figures). As is the case for Gary, his wife has to put the majority of her income back into her business ventures. The economy has taken a toll on the couple’s savings and investments, as well as on the way of life to which the two have been accustomed (doing and buying all they wanted—for an upper-middle income household).
Gary holds a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. He obtained his MBA and has ventured out in his own business. He has one full-time employee and a receptionist/data entry person who works hourly. He recently moved from a home office, which he shared with his wife, to a new office that has space for his employees. The office is large enough to be used as a meeting space for his clients. His list of clients has grown, yet the clients tend to pay later than Gary desires (60 days or more), and he often has to have his virtual accounting office prompt them for payment.
Gary has to have a good cash flow in order to pay his employees, pay off his bills, and meet his family obligations. Due to a pre-existing health condition (his wife has a chronic illness), his health care premium is enormous (over $1K per month for his family plan alone). This does not include the premium Gary must pay for his full-time employee. Gary’s wife paid the family health care premium on her own plan for over two years. It cost her $1,600 per month to carry the entire family (which she did with no complaints).
Gary took over the premium, as he felt that his wife had carried that nearly $2K per year burden alone while he built his company. She had also covered all the expenses he was not able to pay during that time. Gary has stated that he could not have embarked on his private venture without his wife’s support (financial and otherwise). He feels that this has put a strain on his marriage in these stressful economic times.
Gary and his wife have two children, ages 6 and 9. Both are healthy, smart, obedient, fun, and well-behaved, per his report. Gary has no concerns regarding the children at the time of his visit. His wife works very hard to support the family and take care of the children. While Gary works most days from 8 a.m. to any and all hours of the evening, his wife does “double duty,” making nearly 200K and acting as a stay-at-home mother.
Gary feels that his wife’s deteriorating health stems from her attempts to do it all and be there for the children and him. While his wife does not complain, he feels and understands that she must resent him for her 24/7 work schedule that has been set to accommodate his business. Introduction:
There are many sources of information available on the web and in journals relating to the nursing discipline. Therefore, it is of pivotal importance to understand the basic tenets of critical appraisal of research for its use in intraprofessional healthcare practices. The aim of evidence-based practice (EBP) is to employ a three-pronged approach blending the best available research evidence, patient values and preferences, and clinical expertise.
In this task, you will critique two primary research evidence sources. You will select one quantitative and one qualitative peer-reviewed journal article on a healthcare topic of interest.
Requirements:
Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. Use the Turnitin Originality Report available in Taskstream as a guide for this measure of originality.

Abstract:
The project will establish a close and a detailed look at the issues that are facing Syrian Refugees in the UK, and the difficulties they face during their pursuit of a safe haven through an extensive study into two major factors affecting their lives: the government’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis, its policies and practices, and the UK media coverage of the crisis and the way the Syrian refugees have been portrayed, with a focus on the press. The hypothesis that the project will explore and acknowledge is the relationship between the UK government’s policies and response to the Syrian refugee crisis and the local media coverage: Does the media play a role in forming the political opinion? Has the government exploited the media to determine and control the popular perception of reality? Or is a two-sided relationship?
Research Questions and Objectives:
The project will provide answers to the questions: “Has the UK government responded efficiently and effectively to the Syrian refugee crisis?” “How has the UK media, represented by newspapers, contributed to our understanding of Syrian refugees in the UK?” “Can we acknowledge a relationship between the government response and media coverage?”
I will handle these questions by looking at the following sub-questions:
• What are policies and practices followed by the UK government regarding the Syrian refugee crisis?
• Has the government, represented by Home Office, produced and adopted regulations and procedures to contribute effectively to solving and containing the problem?
• How have refugees in the UK been represented in the national newspapers?
• Did attention for refugees differ among different newspapers?
• How can these differences and their underlying choices be explained?
• Have major events in the Syrian conflicts affected the UK government’s response to the Syrian refugee issue? How does the UK media depict these events? Can we set a pattern?
• How does government policy and media coverage affect the life of the Syrian refugees’ in the UK?
This project is a multidisciplinary analysis that has a political and social depth. The overarching objective is to define and analyse the policies adopted by the UK government towards such an important issue and to explore their justifications, implications and effects, and to examine how the refugee and migrant crisis is being reported in the UK media, focusing on the national press, finding out the image of the Syrian refugees as portrayed by these newspapers, and the impact of such portrayal on the lives of the Syrian refugees.
To do that, the research will study the UK government response to the Syrian Refugees crisis and the UK media coverage from April 2013 to April 2014, a year that witnessed major events in the life of the Syrian crisis: the rise of ISIS in Syria and the chemical attack in Ghouta, tracing both the UK government’s response and the UK media’s reaction to these events, among others in the same period, and inspecting the effect of this reaction on the lives of Syrian refugees in the UK, and on any potential asylum seeker.
Research Methodology:
Data collection
The research is library-based. Primary data will be documents and articles collected mainly through online sources, and secondary data will be collected from academic research, books, journal articles and online resources. The primary data for this research will be chosen from governmental documents, officials’ statements and press releases, in addition to newspaper articles on the issue published between April 2013 and April 2014.
The project will study a number of governmentaldocuments (including Home Office’s), officials’ press releases and statements on the subject, and 20 newspaper articles from 2 different UK mainstream national newspapers representing different prevailing political and social ideologies in the country (The Guardian (Left), The Daily Mail (Right).

4. Ethical considerations and research design
You need to define and justify your choices of research question, methodology, theory and research design with reference to your chosen topic.
ASK: What are they? Why are they the best way to answer the research problem? How do they relate to each other?
Think beyond limiting yourself to the sources you could use personally. Rather, think through a project which is reasonable for a general academic expert to undertake.
This allows you to think through methods, such as say ethnography, or interviews with senior politicians using another language, or a large-scale survey, that it would be unlikely to be possible for you to undertake, but which are certainly part of standard academic practice.

They will be very clear about the ethical dimensions of research in Politics and International Relations and will demonstrate excellent planning skills necessary for the planning a self-directed piece of research
