  1. Name some ways that governments are trying to redress threats against endemic species. Briefly describe the examples presented in this article.
  2. What is described as the biggest challenge for governments?
  3. How are governments addressing this challenge?

Part II
With habitat loss, less land and resources means lower carrying capacity. For the second part of this assignment, you will apply the readings from your Module 4 Home page to two cases in which conservation of habitat applies to carrying capacity and economics. Choose one of these large predators to investigate: African predators (lions, hyenas, etc.), cougars (mountain lions), or polar bears.

  1. What size of land/water is required to support this animal?
  2. What pressures threaten this organism’s habitat?
  3. What role does international trade and political regulation play in protecting this organism? Are these in place and enforced?

Cash Budgets

A cash budget helps an organization plan and control the movement of cash into and out of the company. It is important for an organization to have a good understanding of its cash needs in order to identify instances of cash idleness or shortage. Cash on hand allows the organization to make commitments to various stakeholders, including employees and suppliers. Idle cash represents missed opportunities to reinvest into the organization and to return value to shareholders.

In this Application, you will use the information on cash budgets outlined in the Resources to prepare a cash budget for Gladiator Robotics given the data provided in the scenario below.

You will create and use an Excel spreadsheet for your calculations for the problems below, and the spreadsheet you develop is what you submit for the Application. Note: The Resources section includes tutorials for those who might need help in designing and using an Excel spreadsheet.

blood sugar meter

comment on this please,

I recently got a new blood sugar meter that connects via Bluetooth to my phone, and a dedicated app that receives and stores all my readings. It also has an option to upload that data directly to my doctor. Because of the benefits, my insurance company paid 100% of the cost for the new meter and the testing strips. Using that info with other apps that can track other data such as food and exercise, I’ve been able to better manage my sugars and have not only lost weight but feel better. I have a friend who has a blood pressure device that also transmits the data to his phone…there’s all sorts

The Purpose and Effect of the American Dream

First, choose either Crevecoeur’s Letter or Barack Obama’s November 7, 2007 speech (“Agenda to Reclaim the American Dream”). Describe their vision of life in America in terms of both its promise and its problems. Discuss their visions of America in terms of Adams’ definition of the American Dream.

Next, choose two of the other texts we have read in the previous modules. Evaluate how the ideas, arguments, and problems presented in these texts compare to those presented by Crevecoeur or Obama. For instance, you might want to choose a text that confirms Crevecoeur’s (or Obama’s) vision of America and another text that challenges or problematizes that vision.

Finally, assess the possibilities or impossibilities of achieving the American Dream as represented in these texts and the course generally. Has the progress of American life confirmed the possibility of the American Dream, or have the persistent challenges, divisions, and conflicts shown its impossibility? What progress has been realized and what still needs to be done?

Write a 4-5 page paper in Word format (not counting title and reference page). Include an APA formatted title page and reference page. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M5_A1.doc. By Monday, June 5, 2017, deliver your assignment to the M5: Assignment 1 Dropbox.
