Use the Internet and / or the Strayer Learning Resource Center to research aspects of biology.
Select an article from a magazine or newspaper that has something in it that pertains to biology. This will serve as the “target article” for this assignment. For instance, you can select an article about medicine, invasive species, nature, conservation, genetic technology, ecology, or any other topic that is related to biology. One purpose of this assignment is to help you become aware of how biology is related to your everyday life.
Write a one to three (1-3) page paper in which you:
- Summarize the article in one (1) or more paragraphs, using your own words. Be sure to identify the article using an in-text citation in the body of the paper, as well as a reference in the reference section.
- Explain how the article relates to this course. Identify which biological concepts from the course and / or text are relevant to the topic covered in the article. Citing the course text, discuss the ways in which this course does (or doesn’t) provide background information to help you understand the article and the larger issues surrounding it.
- Explain why the article caught your attention. Relate the article to your life and to issues that are important to you. Discuss how or if the scientific knowledge about the topic covered in the article affects you directly or indirectly.
- Discuss your opinion on how research on this topic should be funded. State whether you think taxpayer monies should support research on this topic or whether such research in this area should be funded by the private sector. Rate the importance of research on this topic, relative to other areas of research.
In addition to the target article, you should use at least one additional resource, such as your textbook or another article. Topic 1. Tumor-suppressor genes versus Proto-oncogenes. This is a library-research topic in which you are required to provide your sources. Mutations in tumor suppressor genes can contribute to or cause cancer, just as mutations in proto-oncogenes can also contribute to or cause cancer. However, tumor suppressor genes are very different from proto-oncogenes.

Two things to do here:
1) Write the intro and conclusion for the entire project.
You have now researched all aspects of your plant. It is time to write an introduction and a meaningful conclusion and make recommendations (or not) for its use. Back up your recommendations! This should be about 1000 words total.
An excellent introduction is really important to set the tone for the paper. It is a good idea to spend extra time polishing the sentence structure and grammar to set the reader up to expect a well-written paper. A thoughtful conclusion with personal recommendation is the final icing on your cake. It wraps everything up in a nice package and summarizes what the reader has learned. It is a very important part of a professional-sounding paper. Bringing in a personal connection when appropriate gives the reader a chance to know you through your opinions.
2) Assemble the final submission
Time to assemble your polished term project. Take everything you have learned and the feedback you have received, polish everything up including the grammar and the pictures and post it proudly. And Voila! You have created a large term project before you know it!

Marshall Kesterson he’s 20 years old. He loves doing graphic design and play video games. He is very active on twitter. And He loves watching Anime. Marshall is a Biology major and he is planning on getting into medical law. And he want’s to be a lower for Hospitals. He was born and raised in West Virginia. I Asked him where he wants to be when he graduates he Said he wants to move to Columbus Ohio. He has 1 younger brother and 2 male dogs. He lives with his two roommate which is his best friends. His graphic designs are mostly personal and for his family. He also does online Videos related to school. I asked him where do you see yourself in 10 years, He said he’s going to be married have 2 kids and a job that he loves. Overall it was a bit awkward experience because Marshal isn’t talkative that much that I had to ask him so many questions to get to an answer or I think I was a bit more excited and more talkative than him that I felt he doesn’t talk that much. I didn’t get that much of interesting information but I loved the interview and he seems like a nice respectful guy. I wouldn’t do anything different next time because interviewing someone is basically based on the person you’re interviewing if they talk much or if they’re less talkers if they’re willing to answer your question or if they get bored quick so it’s depends on the person and their personality. If I want to ask him three more questions it would be. Why did you take JRL 215? If you had one meal to eat for the rest of your life what would it be? What do you think about social media now a days?
