Present your findings in a Word document of 4-5 body pages formatted in APA style. Please submit your assignment. Your assignment will be graded in accordance with the following criteria. Click here to view the grading rubric. Submitting your assignment in APA format means, at a minimum, you will need the following: Title page: Remember the running head. The title should be in all capitals. Abstract: A summary of your paper, not an introduction. Begin writing in third-person voice. Body: The body of your paper begins on the page following the title page and abstract page and must be double-spaced (be careful not to triple- or quadruple-space between paragraphs). The type face should be 12-pt. Times Roman or 12-pt. Courier in regular black type. Do not use color, bold type, or italics except as required for APA-level headings and references. The deliverable length of the body of your paper for this assignment is 5-6 pages. In-body academic citations to support your decisions and analysis are required. A variety of academic sources is encouraged. Reference page: References that align with your in-body academic sources are listed on the final page of your paper. The references must be in APA format using appropriate spacing, hang indention, italics, and upper- and lowercase usage as appropriate for the type of resource used. Remember, the Reference Page is not a bibliography but a further listing of the abbreviated in-body citations used in the paper. Every referenced item must have a corresponding in-body citation. Other Information Instructor’s Comments: Please note that the page length requirement for Unit #5 IP assignment is 4-5 pages for the body of paper. In addition, you are required to include a title page, Abstract Page, and Reference Page. Therefore, in total, your paper should be at least seven (7) pages in total Also as a reminder: 1) the Abstract is a summary of your paper, it is not an introduction. It is a (150 to 250 words) summary of paper content; 2) headings displayed in paper can help to ensure that you have included the required components in paper, as well as make it easier to follow your discussion areas; 3) scholarly research is required to support your discussion in paper. This is displayed with the use of in-text citations to support your discussion – see assignment grading rubric.
Air Pollution News Articles
Submit one (1) news articles about air pollution in a country different from the US from current news sources, together with a short, written summary of the article with a comparison of the pollutant concentrations in the article with US AQIs.
1) The main topic of the article must involve air pollution, air pollution regulation; public health issues related to air pollution.;
2) The article must be at least 450 words in length (An easy way to figure out the word count is to copy the text into word and use “word count” under “tools”).
3) The article must contain either pollutant concentrations in ppb, ppm or μg/m3 or AQIs.
4) The article must be a ʺfeatureʺ article, meaning it has a headline, byline (author name(s)), and a single topic.
5) Articles must be photocopies of articles in print publications available at the newsstand, or printouts of these articles from a web site. No clippings are accepted, because they are always falling apart and getting lost.
Abstract/summaries:
a) 140 to 190 words long
b) Compare the pollutant concentrations to the standards in the US. Determine and state where they would fall in the US AQI index. Comment on how this compares to how the concentrations/AQIs are presented in the article.
c) Not spin additional information that is not in the article or part of the AQI discussion.
d) Include in your summary a clear statement of:
• Title of article • Author(s) of the article • Name of publication • Date of publication • Page number of the first page of the article, unless from a news agency web site Additional notes and guidelines: ‐‐A mere mention of air pollution as a side note in your article is not sufficient. This means that articles about fires are usually not air pollution articles, even though ʺsmokeʺ is involved. Most articles about ʺenergyʺ are not air pollution articles, so check content carefully. Articles about odors will be taken on a case‐by‐case basis; they definitely need to have human health front and center to be acceptable. ‐‐AQI scales for different countries and the WHO can be found on Wikipedia or elsewhere on the web. ‐‐Article summaries do not quote parts of the article; they paraphrase important points. ‐‐ Not acceptable: compilation or ʺspotlightsʺ of different news events into one section; a “blog”, ʺbriefʺ or ʺin briefʺ article or articles that serve as one‐ to two‐paragraph fillers, unsigned editorials and letters to the editor; figure or photo captions not associated with a feature article; advertisements; ʺwireʺ stories without an author attribution, and stories from a web site that is not associated with a print periodical. Also not acceptable: research reports published in academic journals (research papers are not ʺnewsʺ; they are contributions to knowledge). No monthly magazines, journals, ecological or environmental newsletters, scientific/academic journals, etc. The publication must be primarily for the purpose of reporting current news and news analysis. Weekly magazines including Time and Newsweek are acceptable.

Application of Borrowed Theories to Advanced Nursing Practice
Week 5: Application of Borrowed Theories to Advanced Nursing Practice
Explicate a selected borrowed theory that you already know or one that you read about in this week’s lecture, readings or other materials. Provide an example of how this theoretical perspective has been used to frame nursing knowledge, care or leadership in any healthcare setting.
List the concepts that constitute the theory and
Describe the relevance of those concepts to your advancing nursing knowledge and practice.
In other words, you would not describe Maslow’s theory as it relates to an entry-level, new graduate nursing assessment, but you could consider how an advanced practice nurse, working on his or her doctoral degree would use that theory to improve patient outcomes, quality, and safety, access or cost.
Similarly, you could talk about how using Albert Bandura’s Self Efficacy concept facilitates more effective intervention in smoking cessation initiatives.

C Programming: Write Two Code
There are two parts.
1. Write code for a function that receives two parameters (a,and b) by value and has two more parameters (c and d) by reference. All parameters are double.
The function works by assigning c to (a/b) and assigning d to (a*b).
From main, use scanf to get two numbers, then call the function, and then display both returned values to the output in a printf statement.
2. After part 1 is completed, write code to get 20 integer numbers from the user. The code then displays how many of those numbers are above the numbers average. To get proper credit you must follow these steps:
a. write a for loop to fill the array with numbers from the user. Use a pointer
b. use an index to pass through all array elements to calculate the average in another loop.
c. write a function, then pass the array, its size, and the average to the function. The function returns the count of the number of elements that are above the average.

MARKETING – MARKETING Manager Analysis
Due Date: Week 7
Note: While representative of possible situations faced by the Brookly Nets, all scenarios in this assignment are fictional.
Real Business
For a large discount retail store like Target and Walmart, it can be difficult to get the marketing mix just right for a given product. There are so many products in the store fighting for the attention of customers. There is also the challenge of helping the suppliers of each product maximize their profits while making sure the store is making money. With so many things to consider, working in marketing for such a large business can be a challenge.
Your Role
This week, you’ll be acting as a Marketing Manager in the sporting goods section.
| What Is a MARKETING Manager? Marketing Managers are responsible for developing, implementing and executing marketing plans, either for an entire organization or for particular categories or products within the organization, in order to attract potential customers and keep existing ones. Their day-to-day tasks include managing and coordinating marketing and creative staff, leading market research to improve existing products and services, working with advertising agencies, and determining the best way to get products in front of customers. |
As a marketing manager for a discount retail store in Brooklyn, you have been asked to evaluate a marketing plan for basketballs to ensure that the 4 P’s of marketing are being applied well. Using your knowledge of the 4 P’s and the best approach to generating sales, you’ll take a look at a number of marketing recommendations and choose the approach that you believe will sell the most products.
Instructions
Step 1: Product Life Cycle
In the Marketing Analysis Presentation provided by your marketing team, you’ll see three different basketballs that need to be included in the product display on Slide 2. Each product has unique features.
· Based on the information provided about the customers that shop at the store location on Slide 3, choose the basketball that you think will sell the most.
Underline your selection:
Basketball 1
Basketball 2
Basketball 3
Explain the rationale for your decision.
Step 2: PLACE
On Slide 4 of the Marketing Analysis Presentation, you’ll see the results of a survey that asked potential buyers about where they are most likely to purchase these products.

Explain the rationale for your decision.
Step 3: PROMOTION
Slide 5 of the Marketing Analysis Presentation shows three recommended advertisements, including a special deal promotion, for the product that is expected to sell the best.
Based on the information provided about the customers that shop at this store location on Slide 3, determine which promotional activity will sell the most product at this particular store. Underline your selection:
Promotion 1

Explain the rationale for your decision.
Step 4: PRICE
Look at the pricing options available for each of the three products together on Slide 6.
Based on your knowledge of the Pricing Strategies discussed on pages 186-187 in the textbook, choose the option that has the best pricing mix for all three products. Refer to the customer information on Slide 3, if needed. Underline your selection:
Pricing Mix 1
Pricing Mix 2
Pricing Mix 3
Explain the rationale for your decision.
Note: You should complete Steps 5 & 6 after reading the material in Week 7.
Step 5: BRAND & SALES PITCH
The company that makes one of the basketballs is looking to rebrand the product. They have asked for your input on possible brands ideas.
First, read the Brand Vision statement which summarizes the goal for the new brand. Then, look at the logo, name, and tagline recommendations. Which of the two brand directions do you think best meets the goals of the brand vision? Underline your selection:
Brand Direction 1
Brand Direction 2
Please support your decisions.
Second, write a 2-3 sentence sales pitch that you would use to try to convince someone to purchase this product.
Step 6: MARKET SEGMENTATION
The marketing plan for the basketballs at the Brooklyn store has been in place now for four months, and the marketing team has assembled a report reviewing sales data and customer feedback for the last quarter’s basketball sales. Overall, the results are lower than you expected and you are concerned that your marketing and creative staff have not properly segmented your target customers.
Remember, like many products in the marketplace, the basketball’s marketing campaigns must target two different groups of customers: (1) adults who purchase the item as a gift and, therefore, do not actually use the product; and (2) adults and teenagers who purchase the item for their own use and enjoyment. Both groups have different reasons and expectations surrounding the item in question, and those reasons and expectations will have significant impacts on the buyers’ purchasing decisions.
· Review the five customer segments detailed on pages 194-195 of your textbook: Behavioral, Sociographic, Psychographic, Geographic and Demographic. Select one focus area of each segment that you feel is most relevant to the sale of basketballs at this store location.
· Keeping in mind the 4 P’s, write 1-2 questions for each focus area that will guide your staff as they investigate these aspects of your campaign.
Example:
· Segment: Geographic
· Focus Area: Neighborhood
· Questions: What combination of marketing and media channels did we use to reach current and potential customers? How are we gathering information on where current customers live who purchased a basketball?
