(some Samples of all 3 part has been attached for reference)
Part1: Cue Sheet for Odessa Steps Scene in Battleship Potemkin
Rapée’s cues for film music
Using the cues listed in Rapée’s compendium of cues, make a silent-1920s style alternate suggested cue
sheet for the Odessa steps scene of Battleship Potemkin. Imagine this would be the suggested cue sheet
that would accompany the film that is sent to theaters, intended for theater pianists or organists.
With that in mind, the cue sheet should be simple, referencing cues from Rapée, and each cue should
last a few minutes on average. It will be difficult for the accompanist to change quickly, and it will be
tiresome for him or her to play the same cue for too long.
Purpose
This assignment allows you to exercise creativity and think about what from Rapée’s bag of tricks will
work well when put into a real film. The assignment will make you think about what the silent-era music
compendiums are like to use as a resource and increase your sensitivity to the culture and working
methods of the period.
Part 2: Film Music and Social and/or Architectural Space
Description
Find one observation of film music and social and/or architectural space and cite your source. Consider,
for example, how this observation fits into this module’s study of the social and architectural spaces
where people viewed films and how these spaces—the nickelodeon, private viewer kinetoscope, and
movie palace (especially those with a theater organ)—affected music, film, and the audience. Avoid
making your own observation, but feel free to analyze and comment on the observation you do select. Be
sure the observation is factual and remember to cite the source (200 words maximum).
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to see how you relate abstract concepts and contextualize the use of
film music within society and culture at large. This assignment will also prepare you to research a topic,
and find and cite an outside source. Citing outside sources is a primary building block of writing a
convincing argument or paper. This assignment tests both your ability to handle abstraction (as found in
the academic environment) and the ability to research and cite source material.
Part 3: Comparing Silent-Film Music to Modern Scores
(Just in 3 lines)
How do these historical film scores to silent films, post-synched later, compare to today’s scores? Do they
use all of the features described by Larry Timm and Claudia Gorbman? Do they work the same way as
modern synchronized film scores?

Routine Report Assignment
Scenario:
Your company is the largest private employer in your metropolitan area, and the 43,500
employees in your workforce have a tremendous impact on local traffic. A group of city and
county transportation officials recently approached your CEO with a request to explore ways
to reduce this impact. The CEO, Ms. Suarez, has assigned you the task of analyzing the
workforce’s transportation habits and attitudes as a first step towards identifying potential
solutions. She is willing to consider anything from subsidized bus passes to company-owned
shuttle buses to telecommuting, but the decision requires a thorough understanding of
employee transportation needs. Figures 1 – 4 summarize data you have collected in an
employee survey.
Figure 1: Employee Carpool Habits
• Frequency of Use: Carpooling Portion of Workforce
• Every day, every week 10,138 (23%)
• Certain days, every week 4,361 (11%)
• Randomly 983 (2%)
• Never 28,018 (64%)
Figure 2: Use of Public Transportation
• Frequency of Use: Public Transportation Portion of Workforce
• Every day, every week 23,556 (54%)
• Certain days, every week 2,029 (5%)
• Randomly 5,862 (13%)
• Never 12,053 (28%)
Figure 3: Effect of Potential Improvements to Public Transportation
Which of the following would you encourage you to use public transportation more
frequently? (Check all that apply) Portion of Respondents. Employees can check more than
one.
• Increased perceptions of safety 4,932 (28%)
• Improved cleanliness 852 (5%)
• Reduced commute times 7,285 (41%)
• Greater convenience: fewer transfers 3,278 (18%)
• Greater convenience: more stops 1,155 (6%)
• Lower (or subsidized) fares 5,634 (31%)
• Nothing could encourage me to take public transportation 8,294 (46%)
Note: This question was asked to those respondents who use public transportation randomly
or never, a subgroup that represents 17,915 employees or 41% of the workforce.
Figure 4: Is Telecommuting An Option?
• Does the nature of your work make telecommuting a realistic option? Portion of
Workforce
• Yes, every day 3,460 (8%)
• Yes, several days a week 8,521 (20%)
• Yes, random days 12,918 (30%)
• No 18,601 (42%)
Task:
Write a recommendation memo report to your supervisor, Ms. Suarez illustrating the data
you have collected and recommending two ways to solve this problem.
This is a short report; therefore, your report will not include a title page, a table of
contents, or appendices. The visualized data must be within the text (body) of the report;
do not place the data at the end of the report.
Organizational Guidelines:
TO: Ms. Suarez, CEO
FROM: Insert Your Name
DATE: Month Day, Year
SUBJECT: Workforce Transportation Habits
Begin your report memo with a brief introductory statement outlining the background,
problem/opportunity/purpose, scope, and organization of the report. Refer to your text for
assistance.
In the body of your report, you are required to illustrate each set of data with figures.
Keep in mind this portion of the report requires an appropriate heading, and each of the
four figures requires a reference statement, a caption, and if applicable, a legend. Do not
place the data in a bulleted/numbered list or in a table.
For example:
APPROPRIATE SECTION HEADING
Precede the graph with a reference statement explaining what the graph illustrates. For
example, Figure 1 illustrates the employees’ carpool habits.
Figure 1: Employees’ Carpool Habits
Create the figure. Determine which figure best illustrates the data. Should you use a pie
chart, a bar chart or a line chart? Once you have decided which chart to use, review your
text for format requirements. How large should the chart be? Should the data be an
ascending or descending order? Where should you place the labels? Does the chart require a
legend? Is the visual clear, complete, concise, connected, and compelling (see textbook for
guidelines)?
Note: If you are not familiar with how to create chart using MSWord or importing them from
Excel and embedding them into MSWord, you should consult the Help function in MSWord or
you may also find it useful to review the following webpages:
Immediately following the chart, explain the significance of the data. This is referred to as
the illustration’s caption.
For example, As you can see from Figure 1,….
After all four chart are completed, offer two possible solutions to the problem. Each solution
should be logically derived from the data and each must be adequately explained. This
section of the report also requires an appropriate heading. There should only be two
solutions for the entire report.
For example:
APPROPRIATE SECTION HEADING
Introduce this section of the report with a paragraph previewing your recommendations.
Solution 1: XXX
Explain your solution and why it is a logical option.
Solution 2: XXX
Explain your solution and why it is a logical option.
Close your report with a summary of the key points as they appeared in the report body. Do
not introduce new facts into your closing paragraph. End by inviting Ms. Suarez to contact
you to discuss the report’s recommendations.

SWK 510 Life-Changing Event Paper Psychology Coursework
SWK 510-Reference: — Hutchison, E. (2017). Essentials of human behavior: Integrating Person, Environment, and the Life Course (2nd ed.). Los Angeles, Sage Publications.
To complete the assignment, you will need to focus on a life stage of your development. The purpose of the paper is to apply the knowledge gained in the class to your own developmental process through the interaction of the bio-psycho-social spiritual systems.
The paper should be at least four (not including title page and any reference pages) and double-spaced typed in APA format (see APA guide and grading rubric). The paper should reflect course content. Use at least three scholarly sources. An example will be provided.
The components of the paper will be the following:
• Introduction: Describe the life stage and the importance of it regarding who you have become. You should identify the life crisis (per Erikson, p. 113 in the text) that was or was not resolved.
• Dimensions of Human Behavior: Should identify at least two dimensions of human behavior (Biological, Psychological, Sociological or Spiritual) that we have studied and how they influenced this crisis AND in this stage. Also discuss influences such as:
o Genetic/biological characteristics
o Your nuclear family, parents, and siblings, along with the structure of the family
o Gender role expectations
o Cultural systems (such as religion, class, race/ethnicity)
o Education
o Work experience, (yours or your parents’)
Conclusion: What do you consider to be the most important factors that led to the resolution or lack of resolution of the crisis?
You must use APA style, including double spaced. Be sure to review the grading rubric before you start writing so you include all the required components. This paper is to be written in APA format with appropriate running head, page numbering, title page (which does not count towards the length of the paper), headers/sub-headers, academic citations and references for this paper
Analysis of Variance With Repeated Measures Healthcare Research Paper
Analysis of Variance With Repeated Measures
By now you are most likely comfortable with the concept of one-way and multi-way ANOVA, yet you have only been exposed to data that are independent. Many research scenarios wish to test for a difference in means across time. For example, imagine an experiment where you subject a group of the same subjects to a different stimulus at different time points. Alternately, your Instructor may wish to examine the class’ mean level of statistics anxiety at the beginning, middle, and end of the course.
Because you are measuring the same subjects over time, your data are dependent and therefore you need a statistical test that will take this dependency into consideration. You could run multiple paired sample t tests but that would not only be inefficient, it would introduce the possibility of a type I error. The repeated measures ANOVA allows you to compare three or more means on dependent data without using multiple t tests.
This week you practice using the repeated measures ANOVA and critique an article that uses this method
• Apply analysis of variance with repeated measures to a dataset
• Analyze analysis of variance with repeated measures in a dataset
• Apply statistical software to analyze data
• Critique research studies that apply analysis of variance with repeated measures
Assignment 1: Repeated Measures ANOVA in SPSS
Earlier this week, you practiced using repeated measures ANOVA models with SPSS and, ideally. In this Assignment, you apply what you learned to answer a social research question using Repeated Measures ANOVA.
To prepare
• Review the datasets provided.
• Construct a research question based on one of those datasets.
• Pay attention to the assumptions of this test, and ask, “Does it make sense to interpret the mean of this dependent variable?”
The Assignment
Use SPSS to answer the research question you constructed. Then, compose a 2 paragraph analysis in APA format in which you answer the following questions:
1. What is the null hypothesis for your question?
2. What research design(s) would align with this question?
3. What dependent variable was used and how is it measured?
4. What independent variable is used and how is it measured?
5. If you found significance, what is the strength of the effect?
6. What is the answer to your research question?
7. What are the possible implications of social change?
Be sure to include your data output with your analysis.
Name of Stats Test
Introduction
In a paragraph identify what statistical test you are doing, what data set you used, and what you are attempting to test using the variables you chose.
Research Question
Write your one sentence research question here. This should not be written as a question you can answer with a yes or no. Also, you will either use difference, effect, or relationship depending on the type of statistical test you are doing (see underlined word in RQ and hypotheses). You can also see that the independent variables (blue) are listed first and the dependent variable last (green)—do not use colors in your paper. Here is an example:
RQ: What is the relationship between the number of candy bars eaten in a day, hours spent exercising each week, and BMI?
Hypotheses
Null Hypothesis (H0): Write your null hypothesis here. You need to use the terminology “no statistically significant” in the null (see words in bold). You can also see that the independent variables (blue) are listed first and the dependent variable last (green)—do not use colors in your paper. Here is an example: There is no statistically significant relationship between the number of candy bars eaten in a day, hours spent exercising each week, and BMI.
Alternative Hypothesis (HA): Write your alternative hypothesis here. You need to use the terminology “statistically significant” in the alternative (see words in bold). You can also see that the independent variables (blue) are listed first and the dependent variable last (green)—do not use colors in your paper. Here is an example: There is a statistically significant relationship between the number of candy bars eaten in a day, hours spent exercising each week, and BMI.
Variables
Independent Variables (IV): List your independent variables here as well as how they are coded (values) in your dataset. For example:
Gender—Male=0; Female=1
Age—Actual age in years at time of data collection
Dependent Variables (DV): List your dependent variables here as well as how they are coded (values) in your dataset. For example:
Weight—Self-reported weight in pounds at time of data collection
Ever been a smoker—0=no; 1=yes
Results
Write your results section here. This should only be 1-3 paragraphs long—be succinct—but focus the results write up towards your null hypothesis and research question. Make sure that you address if the assumptions of the statistical test are met or not and what you did if they were not met and why. At the end of the results you should include if you are rejecting the null hypothesis and accepting the alternative (or retaining the null if that is appropriate) and why. Please see the examples posted in the announcements for an idea of what you results should look like and also look at the example below. ?
I highly recommend that you provide an APA formatted table to illustrate the results that you are discussing. It is difficult for the reader to follow the results if you just list a lot of numbers so use a table if the results are more complex than you can explain well in sentence format. However, make sure that the table is completely in APA format (see examples starting on p. 129 of the 6th ed. APA manual) as the tables that are generated by SPSS are not in APA format.
Here is an example of an APA formatted results section:
An ANCOVA was conducted to determine the effect of two different therapy approaches on stalking-type behavior after controlling for pre-therapy stalking-type behavior. There was homogeneity of regression slopes as the interaction term was not statistically significant, F(1,46) = .882, p = .353. The Levene’s test of homogeneity of covariances (F(1, 48) = 7.19, p = .01), was statistically significant and therefore the assumption was violated. The main effect of therapy approach was statistically significant, F(1, 47) = 5.49, p = .023, partial ?2 = .11, indicating that the hours spent in stalking-type behavior was lower after using the cognitive-behavioral therapy approach (M = 55.30, SE = 1.87) as compared to using the psychodynamic therapy approach (M = 61.50, SE = 1.87), as indicated in Table 1.
Table 1.
Therapy Approach Differences in Stalking-Type Behavior
*Table data here*
The covariate was statistically significant, F(1, 47) = 50.46, p < .05, partial ?2 = .52, indicating that amount of time spent in stalking-type behavior before therapy had a statistically significant effect on amount of time spent in stalking-type behavior after therapy. Therefore the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative accepted. This means that the amount of time spent stalking before therapy should be considered when determining effectiveness of therapy on stalking behavior and the cognitive-behavioral therapy approach may be more effective in treating stalking behavior.
***Make sure to copy and paste your SPSS output (everything produced by SPSS at the end of the paper AFTER the reference list. There is a place at the end of the paper for you to paste this.

Assignment 2: Article Critique
The practice of quantitative research not only involves statistical calculations and formulas but also involves the understanding of statistical techniques related to real-world applications. You might not become a quantitative researcher nor use statistical methods in your profession but as a consumer, citizen, and scholar-practitioner, it will be important for you to become a critical consumer of research, which will empower you to read, interpret, and evaluate the strength of claims made in scholarly material and daily news.
For this Assignment, you will critically evaluate a scholarly article related to repeated measures ANOVA.
The Assignment
Write a 2- to 3-page critique of the research you found which includes responses to the following prompts: The below headings should be in bold as headings.
• Why did the authors select repeated measures ANOVA in the research?
• Do you think this test was the most appropriate choice? Why or why not?
• Did the authors display the results in a figure or table?
• Does the results table stand alone? In other words, are you able to interpret the study from it? Why or why not?
Article Critique Assignment: Week #
Write the APA formatted reference of this article here. Make sure it is completely APA formatted. (Make sure you are using the article assigned for the week!!)
Introduction
Write a one paragraph summary of the article including why the research was done, what they found, and implications for social change (no more than 1 page).
Critique of Article/Research Study
In paragraph form, write a 2-3 page critique of the article you were assigned to read for the assignment. In this section you should consider the items asked in the directions for the assignment but do not copy and paste the questions into your paper and answer them one after another. A critique is not a summary (retelling) of the article and what the authors did. A critique is a combination of a short summary of what you are critiquing and then a critique of it (Was what they did appropriate? Why or why not? What would you have potentially done differently? Why? Did they follow best research practices? How do you know?).
Here are some of the things you should consider when critiquing a research article (do not just copy and paste these questions into the critique—this is just to give you an idea of what types of things to address—you don’t have to address everything but should have 2-3 pages of critique in this section—double spaced):
Critique of Literature Review
• Was the problem clearly articulated and was ample evidence provided to support the problem being addressed?
• Was the theoretical or conceptual framework present, was its relationship to the present study described, and was it appropriate to the problem being addressed?
• Was the literature cited appropriate to the topic?
• Was the literature primarily from current sources (within 5 years of the article publication date)?
• Did the author choose citations judiciously, or were did it appear that quantity of citations was emphasized over quality?
• Does the literature review present a clear and non-biased approach to the topic?
• Were the research questions and / or hypotheses clearly stated? Do they logically derive from the literature review?
Critique of Methods/Research Design
• Were the participants adequately described in terms of population, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and sampling strategy?
• Is the sample representative of the population?
• Is there support that the sample size ensures adequate statistical power?
• Was there a statement indicating that IRB approval was obtained?
• Were procedures for protecting participant rights included?
• Were the procedures for executing the design carefully described in a way that you or other scientists could replicate the study?
• Is the role and activity of the researcher in the data collection setting/sites described?
• Were reliability and validity measures of questionnaires, scales, or other measurement instruments presented? Do measures exhibit adequate reliability and validity?
• Were instruments used in populations for which they may not have been normed? Was there effort made to ensure reliability and validity in the study sample?
• Was the design appropriate to test the hypothesis(es) or address the research questions?
• Was random assignment used? If not, what are the potential flaws to internal and external validity?
Critique of Results Section
• Are the important characteristics of the sample described?
• Are participation rates (and attrition rates in longitudinal studies) described? For longitudinal studies, was differential attrition determined?
• Were key descriptive statistics provided for all variables?
• Do the results address the hypotheses under question?
• Are tables and figures used effectively? Were tables not used when they would have been very helpful to the reader?
• Are effect sizes and p-values reported for all inferential findings? Were they appropriate?
Critique of Discussion Section
• Are the results discussed in the context of the research presented in the literature review section?
• Are methodological limitations adequately addressed? Think in terms of sample representativeness, generalizability of results, and potential threats to internal and external validity.
• Are implications for further research described?
• Are implications for practitioners described?
• Is the contribution/significance to the field in relation to the continuum of inquiry clear?
You do not need to cite the article you are critiquing but you do need to cite any materials that you use in critiquing the article from other sources. If you do cite other resources you will need to add an APA formatted reference list on the last page of the paper.
Make sure that you are not giving non-human things human characteristics in your paper. This means things like “this study concluded”. A study cannot conclude something but you can say things like “these authors concluded”. In addition, when you talk about research that has been done in the past or published materials you need to talk about them in the past tense.
Conclusion
In your conclusion write a paragraph about what your overall thoughts about the article were and if you found the article to be useful as well as why or why not. Also include if you think this article would be helpful to another researcher and why/why not.
References
Include any references you used in your paper other than the article you critiqued in APA format.

Multiple Logistic Regression 3 pages Medicine and Health Research Paper
Assignment 1: Multiple Logistic Regression 3 pages
You will examine the use of multiple logistic regression in research. You create a multiple logistic regression model in SPSS and also interpret the output. You evaluate the effectiveness of multiple logistic regression.
Evaluate use of multiple logistic regression in research
Apply multiple logistic regression diagnostics
Apply multiple logistic regression assumptions
Apply methods to perform multiple logistic regression
Interpret results of multiple logistic regression
Much of the study of epidemiology and biostatistics addresses the following outcomes: disease or no disease, death or no death, exposure or no exposure. These are dichotomous outcomes, making multiple logistic regression a reasonable choice for evaluation of epidemiological data. Many doctoral epidemiology students, therefore, choose multiple logistic regression to analyze research data.

Assignment Part two : Multiple Logistic Regression in Action 4 pages should have 6 references.
Multiple logistic regression is a model that uses analysis of predictor variables to make predictions as to the likelihood of occurrences of an outcome.
For this Assignment, you use multiple logistic regression to analyze a dataset. You identify assumptions required by multiple logistic regression and evaluate whether they have been met by the data. Finally, you interpret your results and evaluate the use of multiple logistic regression.
The Assignment
1. Variables and variable selection (20 Points)
1. Use a table to list the variables, Sex, Age in Years, Serum Cholesterol, Obese, and Hypertension, and each of their levels of measurement. (10 Points)
2. Create new variables Age_Cat and Chole_Cat:
? Age_Cat: Convert Age in Years into a categorical variable with 2 categories, Less than 40, 40 and greater
? Chole_Cat: Convert Serum Cholesterol into 3 categories, Under 200, 200-299, and 300 and greater
Add the new variables to each record by coding the responses to the original variable using the assigned categories. Be sure that the variable view in SPSS has the correct information on the 2 new variables. (20points)
2. Simple Binary Logistic Regression ( 30 Points)
1. Use Hypertension as the dependent variable and Chole_Cat as the independent variable in the first model. Report the Odds Ratio and significance of the Odds Ratio for the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. (40 Points)
2. Use Hypertension as the dependent variable and Serum Cholesterol (the original variable) as the independent variable in the second model. Report the Odds Ratio and significance of the Odds Ratio for the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. (20 Points)
3. How does the level of measurement for the independent variable affect the outcome (include the OR and its significance in your response)? How does the level of measurement of the independent variable change your interpretation of the Odds Ratio? (20 Points)
3. Multivariate Logistic Regression (70 Points)
1. Run a multivariate binary logistic regression model using SPSS and Hypertension as the dependent variable, Chole_Cat, Age_Cat, Obese, and Sex as the Covariates. Include the output in your submission. (20 Points)
2. Identify the Odds Ratio and the significance of the Odds Ratio for each of the covariates. How has the relationship between Chole_Cat and Hypertension changed with the addition of the other variables (compare to the output from # 2a)? (25 Points)
3. Test the assumption that the model fits the data using the Hosmer-Lemeshow Goodness of Fit test. Interpret the Chi Square statistic given in the output of this test and state what it means in terms of the assumptions needed to use logistic regression with this data. (20 Points)
4. Rerun the logistic regression model from #3a and use the save function to create the following new variables: Predicted Probabilities, Deviance Residuals, and Cook’s Distance. Evaluate the model using these saved variables and the following Scatter Plots. (25 Points)
? Create a Scatter Plot of the Deviance Residuals (DEV) and the variable ID: Are there any outliers? What does this mean when evaluating your model?
? Create a Scatter Plot of Cook’s Distance (COO) and the variable ID: Are there any influential cases? What does this mean when evaluating your model?
? Create a Scatter Plot of Deviance (DEV) and the Predicted Probabilities (PRE). Discuss whether anything in this scatterplot could cause you some concern in terms of your model
