We know that risk premium is the extra reward that investors want for taking a higher risk; a very famous equation in finance is the equality of risk and return. If you invest in risk free assets such as treasury bills, you get prevailing interest rate, so treasury bills have the smallest risk premium, then number 2 is government bonds, they are riskier than treasury, then number 3 is corporate bonds, AAA rating, number 4, other corporate bonds, and number 5 is stocks in the equity market.
Assume that you have $10,000 that you want to invest, you have 5 different category of assets that are ranked per their risk premium, which one you chose, have in mind that higher risk goes with higher rewards
Mitigating Cloud Computing Risks
Mitigating Cloud Computing Risks
Imagine you are an Information Security Manager in a medium-sized organization. Your CIO has asked you to prepare a case analysis report and presentation on establishing internal controls in cloud computing. The CIO has seen several resources online which discuss the security risks related to Cloud based computing and storage. One that stood out was located at http://www.isaca.org/Journal/Past-Issues/2011/Volume-4/Pages/Cloud-Computing-Risk-Assessment-A-Case-Study.aspx. You are being asked to summarize the information you can find on the Internet and other sources that are available. Moving forward, the CIO wants to have a firm grasp of the benefits and risks associated with public, private, and hybrid cloud usage. There is also concern over how these systems, if they were in place, should be monitored to ensure not only proper usage, but also that none of these systems or their data have been compromised.
Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:
- Provide a summary analysis of the most recent research that is available in this area.
- Examine the risks and vulnerabilities associated with public clouds, private clouds, and hybrids. Include primary examples applicable from the case studies you previously reviewed.
- Suggest key controls that organizations could implement to mitigate these risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop a list of IT audit tasks that address a cloud computing environment based on the results from the analysis of the case studies, the risks and vulnerabilities, and the mitigation controls.
- Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
- Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
- Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

- Write clearly and concisely about topics related to information technology audit and control using proper writing mechanics and technical style conventions
Cyber-Security Discussion
You may have noticed that when you look at products on a search engine, that same product appears as an advertisement in your social media and other sites you visit. Many search engines provide advertisers with tools for evaluating the impact of different keywords or phrases. These tools typically “track” user behavior patterns and associate products for sale by companies that subscribe to and pay for their services to help identify potential customers. On the other hand, there are also ad-blockers that block this type of communication.
- What constraints, if any, should be applied to this practice? Do not repeat ideas that have been posted by other students.
- If you are the CIO or an executive manager at a small company that depends on this type of advertising to generate revenue, how might this affect your feelings toward the technology?

COMPARISON/CONTRAST ANALYSIS Assignment
COMPARISON/CONTRAST ANALYSIS DESCRIPTION
GOALS:
*To evaluate through the rhetorical mode of comparison/contrast analysis, the quality and content of argument in two articles;
*To develop skills in writing analytical paragraphs, blending in secondary sources to support the writer’s analysis;
*To unify secondary sources in supporting an original thesis by using the point-by-point method of organization;
*To practice proper documentation methods.
The rhetorical mode of comparison and/or contrast is a common one that you might find extremely useful in crafting your final research paper as well as completing this preliminary assignment. To practice this skill, the required paragraphs will be quite directed. For the articles given below, you’ll want to compare/contrast significant points, approaches and strategies from both articles, in order to support your independent evaluation about them in a short collection of separate paragraphs, about 600+ words, in 2-4 paragraphs, addressing the 2 prompts below.
PROMPTS FOR COMPARISON/CONTRAST ANALYSIS PARAGRAPHS:
Utilize the two sources below, from two very different news agencies, in addressing the prompts:
1. “Jeff Flake admits GOP establishment working again Trump’s popular immigration agenda in DACA meetings”, by John Binder, Jan. 8, 2018. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/01/08/jeff-flake-admits-gop-establishment-working-against-trumps-popular-immigration-agenda-in-daca-meetings/ (链接到外部网站。)链接到外部网站。
2. “Inside the tense profane white house meeting on immigrant, by Josh Dawsey (链接到外部网站。)链接到外部网站。, Robert Costa (链接到外部网站。)链接到外部网站。 and Ashley Parker (链接到外部网站。)链接到外部网站。 January 15, 2018 “https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/inside-the-tense-profane-white-house-meeting-on-immigration/2018/01/15/13e79fa4-fa1e-11e7-8f66-2df0b94bb98a_story.html?utm_term=.dff52a317004 (链接到外部网站。)链接到外部网站。
PARAGRAPH OR SECTION ONE:
In 1 – 2 paragraphs, analyze which source above appears to be more reliable, authoritative and valid. To do this, choose one or two pieces of criteria from the C.R.A.A.P method of analyzing sources. Apply those criteria to both sources, and utilize quotes from each source and analysis to make your evaluation. Write in unified, coherent paragraphs, and avoid trying to cover too many points. Instead focus your point(s) and provide strong evidence and analysis to support your overall evaluation.
(which source appears to be more valid? why?)
Be sure to quote sentences in the source you think it’s more valid as evidence.
PARAGRAPH OR SECTION TWO:
In 1 – 2 paragraphs, compare or contrast details regarding the content of both articles, in order to make a larger point about the political issue they both discuss. Again, work on providing unified, coherent paragraphs, so focus on one overall point to make, and blend the sources together to support your point. (what is a point in turns of content, what the two articles compare or contrast?)
Design Phase Summary
In this week, you will additionally focus on preparing a report that details the end of the design phase. The report should be submitted to the CEO who will approve the beginning of the development phase.

The 1960s was a greatly controversial decade due to its fashion, political unrest, and social norms
Assignment Instructions This week, you will write your third essay. Use the three-part thesis and five-paragraph essay format you learned during week two. Under Week 5 Lessons, we learned about different types of essays. For your final essay, you may choose from any of these types of essays (except informative, since we have already written one of those). Also, to make things easier on you, you may also write about one of the topics you researched in the MLA/Library Practice forums (weeks four and six). Here is a thesis example for a “descriptive” essay, in which I will describe a decade: The 1960s was a greatly controversial decade due to its fashion, political unrest, and social norms. You must incorporate research from the APUS library into your essay. Use two or three sources—no more, no less. Remember that your essay should be mostly your own writing (~80%) and approximately 20% source material. This is short essay, so use short quotes only. I suggest only a line or two of quoted material in each of your body paragraphs. Don’t forget your Works Cited page. Extensive MLA help is provided under week four (Lessons and Resources). Please do not let anyone else write or revise your writing. My job is to help you improve YOUR writing. I can only do that if you let me see your mistakes. I am not interested in how well someone else writes. I want to help YOU! (Hint: if you are struggling, there are tutoring opportunities listed on our Syllabus. This is an appropriate route for acquiring help with your writing. You may contact me for help anytime too!) Download the template and save it as your last name and Essay 3. (Example: Smith_Essay3). The MLA formatting is done for you (e.g., Times New Roman size 12, double-spaced, header, etc.). Update your name, your professor’s name, and date. Don’t forget to put your last name in the header. (Let me know if you don’t know how to get into the header section or type a question into your Word help section.) Your essay should be between 500 and 750 words. Please do not go under the word count at all. Do not go over the word count by more than 50 words. Following instructions is an important part of any writing assignment, and often you will be asked to adhere to word count guidelines, so this is good practice! Be sure that all paragraphs are well developed. I suggest 5-8 sentences per paragraph and no less than 100 words per paragraph, including your introduction and conclusion. (Points saver: as you proof your essay in Word, hit the control [ctrl] key and the “F” key at the same time. This will bring up the search feature. Type in what you wish to find, such as the word you, to be sure you have avoided second person. This works in finding contractions too. Type in an apostrophe and hit enter!) When you “submit” your paper, it will be uploaded into Turnitin (a plagiarism-detection website) automatically. You do not have to create a Turnitin account yourself. Both you and your instructor will receive the results. (The Turnitin report will be under Assignments and will have a percentage on it, like 22%. Click on the percentage to view your report. Certain parts of your essay will be highlighted. This shows where you have used information from an outside source or material that appears in another student’s essay.) A sample essay (“Jolly”) is under Resources.

The topic of this post was on competency and self evaluation on nursing informatics:
POST:
How do the informatics skills you are now developing/expanding upon and validating help you meet current informatics skills levels? Did the TANIC self-assessment change your impression of your current informatics skill levels?
(((TIGER-Based Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies (TANIC) self-assessment contains three categories of competencies: basic computer skills, information literacy, and clinical information management. BASICALLY a checklist on things for each of the 3 categories where i scored best in basic computer skills and not so great on the other two.)))
ASSIGNMENT
……………………………………………………………………………………………….
POST 1:
While I have viewed my foundation for informatics to be broad, I have come to find out that my informatics language and the interchangeable terminology was not as broad. The informatics skills that I am expanding upon and validating have helped deepen my knowledge base and expand my informatics terminology bank in such a way that it will only help me to meet current informatics needs. My current skill level has area for improvement and with a deeper knowledge of the field will help me understand my current informatics manager and the need for support from myself and the clinical departments that I lead. The way that the healthcare world is evolving the numerous technological advances we are seeing in healthcare begs for more informatics knowledge from the nursing side. For those things to be successful, nursing will play an integral role in understanding the informatics side and being able to deliver healthcare in a technologically sound type of delivery. Due to this fast-paced evolution of technology in healthcare, to effectively take advantage of information technology and tie it to the things so important to nursing such as outcomes and quality of healthcare, we must empower nurse through education that is targeted short-term and long-term specialized courses (Darvish, Bahramnezhad, Keyhanian, & Navidhamidi, 2014).
Informatics self-assessments were created to prepare the clinical workforce and assure they were capable of using information technology and informatics to improve the delivery of care to a clientele in which they serve (Hunter, McGonigle, & Hebda, 2013). The TANIC self-assessment helped to open my eyes to the fact that I have much area for growth when it comes to nursing informatics and the skills necessary to master a complete understanding of the field. History has proven the importance of nursing informatics and shows that nurses should be able to deal with it successfully to improve quality of care outcomes (Darvish, Bahramnezhad, Keyhanian, & Navidhamidi, 2014). I do believe that the self-assessment has helped change my impression of my skill level because informatics goes much deeper than I once thought. As nurses, we are accustomed to gathering and interpreting data but now we do it in a different type of way and technology and informatics play a big role in that. I hope that as this course continues to aide in the development of the necessary skills needed to collaborate, lead, and promote the outcomes we desire for the organizations in which we work and the communities in which we serve.
POST 2:
In the previous weeks many concepts and skills have been practiced to help better understand informatics. The use of technology in the online database search engine, the virtual learning environment, and the concepts learned have all helped me in developing informatics skills. The principles of informatics: information, data, knowledge, and wisdom, have helped me understand the process of taking data and wisdom to make the best decisions for patient care (McGonigle, Hunter, Sipes, & Hebda, 2014). Knowing how and where to retrieve accurate information is a key component of administering quality patient care. It is important as nurses to understand how to use health information technologies, medication administration systems, and know how to access online resources. In the previous weeks, I have used the computer to manage files, search the web, and communicate with peers in weekly discussions. Communicating electronically in weekly discussions has helped improve my communication skills. Which is an important component of informatics. I have also improved my computer literacy skills. All of these skills have helped me improve my performance in every day practice. A huge responsibility in my daily nursing practice is to have an understanding on the proper use of the computer and documentation system. By continuing to practice these skills, the use of technology becomes easier. In today’s world full of data, it is important to develop informatics competencies in order to ensure safe and efficient care (McGonigle et al., 2014).
The TANIC self-assessment definitely changed my impression of my current informatics skill level. It made me realize that I do have a basic level of knowledge, but also have a whole lot to improve and learn. Some of the questions ask about competency in basic computer literacy. Many of which I have improved as the class has progressed. The online resources in weekly assignments have also helped me improve my information literacy skills. Healthcare professionals are knowledge workers who use information, technology, and nursing to provide the best care possible.
