Scenario: You are the CEO of MegaGlobe Business Solutions, a financial consulting corporation based in Chicago that has just recently opened new offices in São Paulo, Brazil and Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. As part of this transition, your employees will now be working collaboratively with employees at these locations to provide financial consulting services in these new markets. To assist with the transition, you will develop an internal leadership blog for your employees that addresses the implications of leading within a culturally-diverse and changing global business environment. "Managing Conflict

You have been planning a family vacation for months. You have booked the hotel and purchased non-refundable airline tickets. One week before you are scheduled to go on your vacation, a coworker has told your manager that he needs to take the next week off, your vacation week, for a family emergency. Your manager has told you that you have to miss your vacation in order to cover your coworker’s shift, which means you will lose your hotel deposit and airline tickets. Your coworker has had several family emergencies during the past six months. You have been willing to cover for him until now.

Normalization

Suppose that you are the database developer for a local college. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) has asked you to provide a summary of normalizing database tables that the IT staff will use in the upcoming training session.
Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

  1. Describe the steps that you would use in order to convert database tables to the First Normal Form, the Second Normal Form, and the Third Normal Form.
  2. Provide one (1) example that is relevant to a college environment that illustrates reasons for converting database tables to the First, Second, and Third Normal Forms.
  3. Explain typical situations when denormalizing a table is acceptable. Provide one (1) example of denormalizing a database table to justify your response.
  4. Explain the significant manner in which business rules impact both database normalization and the decision to denormalize database tables.
  5. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Drafting a Rule 26 Scope of Discovery

Discovery is a critical component of most legal cases. Litigants get to demand that their opponents provide documents and other items that may be used in the case. There are times, though, when there are valid objections to having items being demanded by opposing counsel. This question will have you discussing these objections to see if any apply to the stated facts. If an item is not protected but still is not turned over, there are some serious ramifications there too. Make sure to discuss what those are also.

You need to draft a Rule 26 scope of discovery for a complex civil case. The client’s files contain memoranda from employees that will be damaging to the case. Discuss whether the Rule 26 stipulation should be drafted to exclude the documents. Given the rules set out in FRCP Rule 26, discuss the benefits of providing full disclosure to your adversary and any possible risks involved in obstructing disclosure.

Justify your ideas and responses by using appropriate examples and references from Westlaw (including primary sources such as cases, statutes, rules, and regulations.), government websites, and peer-reviewed legal periodicals (not lawyer blogs), which can be supplemented by law dictionaries or the textbook. This means you need to use more than just your text and legal dictionaries.

apprenticeship proposal

Use the Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration website and find the area on Registered Apprenticeship. Explore the Employers section. Based on the information found here, create an apprenticeship proposal for a position in the company you work for or wish to work for. In your apprenticeship, make sure to include specific skills the apprentice will be learning, the modeling and practice techniques that will be used, and the feedback process that will be incorporated (both informal and formal). Explain how many hours per week the apprentice will work, and how long the entire apprenticeship should take. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of your apprenticeship program.
Use Microsoft Word to create your proposal. The proposal should be between two to three pages in length, and all sources used need to be cited according to APA format.
