You have been reading about many different people who shaped their times in positive and negative ways. When studying church history, there is never enough time in a survey class to give sufficient attention to each figure.
You are now free to investigate more deeply the life of one person who has caught your attention. This is a research paper so you will need to go beyond the Shelly text and other assigned readings to find additional information about your chosen figure.
 Choose one person from your readings this week that you would like to investigate further.
 Write a 2-3 page paper summarizing the contribution this person’s life made to the history of the time. Address the following points.
o Identify what interests you about this individual.
o Discuss the impact his or her life had on the history of the age.
o Discus this person’s strengths and weaknesses.
o Connect what you have learned about his or her life to how you may more effectively live your life for Christ.
